Section 3 Meeting - NRAB Administrative Changes

Effective immediately:

•The NMB will retain only the original of any submission filed.
•In future filings, the NMB will only accept the original of the submission. Parties will be instructed to file copies with each other and the neutral when and if a neutral is certified.
•The NMB will inform the parties that the agency prefers that the parties furnish the submission on a disc (electronically). This applies to the parties' submissions only, not to exhibits. Effective June 30, 2003, except in extraordinary circumstances and in the case of individual filers, the NMB will only accept electronic submissions in its office. The parties are free to file paper submissions with each other or send a copy of the paper submission to the neutral.
•Parties filing numerous Notices of Intent over the same or similar claims:

•The Director of Arbitration Services will designate a lead case for records management purposes.
•The parties will be instructed to file only one set of evidence/documents for the lead file. This evidence/documents will be utilized by reference to other cases in the series.
•No duplicate sets will be received and filed.
